Hi,
I am Ron Wallman living 22 miles from Paris.
I built a five inch gauge railway as a toy for our children now grown up and the line now reduced to an elevated circle of 82 metre lap. The line has been used for about twelve years. The rails are 30 x 6 bar stock and need practically no attention.
I built two narrow gauge battery electric locomotives based on toys. I found that a train was by far more popular than just a locomotive and trolley. I have built some wagons and I have more that I am trying to finish.
I have attached a shot of my daughter taken three years ago with a train crossing the bridge.
I prefer to communicate in English. The children often use our PC so I cannot always reply immediately.

Hello Ron and welcome to the forums.
The line from the photo certinally looks intresting, I particually like the loco design-did you plan it on any particular type of loco. I also like your tipper wagons-where they built by you?

Welcome! Love the Ruston, presumably based around the Big-Big Train/Novo version?

Yes quite right. I bought one from a garage just before taking the boat at Newhaven to Dieppe about 1979. It was NOVO by then. I still have the locomotive and this was based on the little plastic one. I added notes in the general forum section. I missed your original posting as I claim old age!
