G'day James (good name that)
Thanks for your comments, I'll try and keep the site up to date on progress.
Must say I think it's great that a 5" gauge site exists for those interested in the gauge to share ideas and techniques.
Kind regards
Jim (James) |

You certainly know how to get my attention Ron. What a beautiful photo of Oliver Cromwell. I saw it some years back at Bressingham as a static display but never thought it would be back in steam.
It may have been on the same visit or a later one when we met Black Prince in steam on the East Somerset. Again it looks good at the NRM.
Thanks again Ron,
Jim |

Hi Jim,
I come in waves! Have you tried http://fraserker.com/britannia/ ?
Of all these shots none really show the smoke box door location lug very well.

As you say Ron the support lugs seem to be standard. The link below shows the fitting on the smokebox ring of a loco under restoration. Looking at it it's not hard to see how it worked

By sifting through photos I have now got it sorted. I like to 'get it right' without being too pedantic. To me it's just as easy to make it 'right' as it is to make it 'wrong' if you know what I mean.
Jim
