The Brackendale Branchline

Hello

This is the startings of my 5' gauge garden layout for the garden. The line is still in the contruction stages-with the opening planned for Easter this year(it will be tight!!!)

So far I have two locos-one out of action after the control board developed a fault(should be fixed soon), but still one is operating and I am now starting to lay the track etc which is very exciting!! Photos of my line can be found at www.freewebs.com/brackendalebranchline  . When I get time I shall transfer them onto this thread.

I shall post more photos as I progress.
Look forward to your comments.

Nice video. Do you have any photos of the garden and where the line is going to go?
James

Hi Paul,

The line came out at the weekend and here are a few photos. At the moment only a few pannels are constructed but by Easter I hope to have a run of about 35m.

Oh by the way- forgot to mention the line is portable since there are other users of the garden!!! Laughing

Today, blessed with good weather i finally got a crack on with the line, i hand bent all the rail (am after a rail bender just to smarten of a couple pannels) and the line look as though it is coming together.

One thing i learnt today is that 30m of track does not go very far....

i think it would be a good idea to put more sleeppers in your track panels otherwise you rail will sag and twist.

James,

It is a shame you have decided to sell all of your stock on ebay. I nearly made you an offer for one of the bogie coaches a few months ago as it would have been perfect for my line. If it doesn't sell on ebay or you feel like splitting part of it, please get in touch with me.

Ben
