The hinges are now fitted along with the handrail and support lug.
It was pointed out (after I made it from the Spink's drawing) that Spink''s was wrong and that what looked like a latch for the smoke box door was in fact a lug resting on a support bracket, I think that's how it could be described. Anyway it has been corrected. The photo shows the 'old' catch.

Hi Jim,
Britannia’s did have a locating lug as you say as the doors used to droop on the hinges so this bought them up on line. Try[url] flickr.com/photos/borichar/1951814788 [/url]. This is an 8F but I bet the design was practically the same.
Should you see little feet sticking up out could you give them a firm kick into the ground as I am having trouble with a mole or better still grab the thing out right.
